TELEVISION PRODUCTION COMPANY SEEKING HOME OR PROPERTY FILLED WITH CLUTTER TO CLEAN AND FEATURE ON A NEW SHOW FOR A MAJOR NETWORK!

The creators of the program “HOARDERS” are searching the entire country for a home or property packed with anything and everything and a recipient who does not have the resources to clean it up on their own for a new television program that will assist someone overwhelmed by a big mess and help them dig out, clean up, and salvage some of the valuable items and have them appraised for you!

No job is too big or too filthy—and we’ll do it for free!!!

We’ll send a team of extreme cleaners to tackle the clean-up and help the recipient of our help dig out from a mess that has become too overwhelming.

People who might be perfect for this show:

  • Someone who collects things or has a shopping addiction and it’s taken over their life
  • Children of the aging parents or deceased who need to clean out their loved ones home or relocate them, but can’t afford to
  • A divorced couple who needs to divide their possessions
  • Someone who’s house or property has become inhabitable due to clutter and lack of maintenance and is about to be condemned by the health department
  • Someone who’s business, house, or property has been severely damaged by a fire, storm or flood, and there is a high volume of soiled debris to remove

30th Anniversary of A Confederacy of Dunces

 

John Kennedy Toole’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel, A Confederacy of Dunces, was published in 1980, eleven years after the author’s suicide at age 32. Ignatius Reilly, Toole’s “slob extraordinary,” is considered one of the most original and hilarious characters in American literature.


UL & Ken Toole

Toole was an Instructor in English at UL (SLI) from 1959 to 1960. His Ignatius Reilly is based on another UL English professor–the late Bobby Byrne. The film is dedicated to the memory of Patricia Rickels, a friend and colleague of Ken Toole, and she is featured in the film. UL faculty members Charles Richard, Marcia Gaudet, and Maurice DuQuesnay worked with Sanford on the film. Joel Fletcher—son of a UL President and a friend of Toole—is featured in the film.

New Local Film Incentive For Lafayette

Movie companies are now eligible to recoup sales tax on money spent in Lafayette — an incentive that aims to lure more films to the area.

The City-Parish Council this week approved sales tax rebates of up to $150,000 for first-time movie projects and up to $165,000 for subsequent productions.

UL Adding Cinematic Major

The Lafayette Entertainment Initiative has worked to bring movie productions like Secretariat to the Acadiana area. Now, UL Lafayette is taking some initiative of its own.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, the Board of Regents gave the university permission to add a new degree program: Moving Image Arts.”

Proposal for New Lafayette Film Incentives

“Lafayette officials hope to offer more financial incentives to those who bring movie or television productions to the city.

A proposal from the city-parish administration would make new productions eligible for a rebate of Lafayette’s 2 percent sales tax paid on expenses such as lodging for cast and crew, lease or rental expenses in the city and the purchases of supplies and materials related to the project’s production.”
