“Lafayette officials hope to offer more financial incentives to those who bring movie or television productions to the city.
A proposal from the city-parish administration would make new productions eligible for a rebate of Lafayette’s 2 percent sales tax paid on expenses such as lodging for cast and crew, lease or rental expenses in the city and the purchases of supplies and materials related to the project’s production.”
