New Local Film Incentive For Lafayette

Movie companies are now eligible to recoup sales tax on money spent in Lafayette — an incentive that aims to lure more films to the area.

The City-Parish Council this week approved sales tax rebates of up to $150,000 for first-time movie projects and up to $165,000 for subsequent productions.
